IBESE-YEWA – The management of Dangote Cement plant, Ibese, Yewa North local government of Ogun state has disclosed that the company within eighth years spent over N4 billion as its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on development of infrastructures within its host communities in Ogun State.
The Head of External Relations, Pastor Joseph Alabi, stated this on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at the official launching of a two-month training on Acutherapy, tagged “2020 Acutherapy Traininig of Host Community Youth”, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the host communities, in collaboration with an Acutherapy expert, Dr Kehinde Adeyemi.
Declaring the programme open, the Plant Director, Dangote Cement, Ibese-Yewa, Mr Azad Nawabudin, described Acutherapy as a natural phenomenon for total wellbeing, adding “it has no side effect, cheaper and readily available.”
Nawabudin stated further that the training is meant to “enable the beneficiaries become entrepreneurs, who may, at the end of the training, establish themselves”, thereby be in position to take care of the community’s health issues.
Director of Kenny Stephens & Sons Enterprises, Dr Kehinde Adeyemi, while given a brief lecture on Acutherapy and its relevance, explained that the training will afford the students to offer the best and natural form of Medicare to the community.
“Acutherapy gives holistic treatment to the entire body, it heals all ailments. In fact, “it deals with all aspects of human system”.
Dr Jamiu Quadri, one of the resource persons, demonstrating the direct efficacy of oxygen in the body – the primary source of Acutherapy – asked all in attendance to do a ten-time breathe-in, after which he called upon four persons to finger-lifted the fattest man in the audience, and it worked.
Quadri, who was the originator of “Theory of Respiration”, also guided all in the hall on how to get relieve from back pain through a five-time breathe-in, as he urged everyone to accept Acutherapy as most reliable and toxic free medical treatment, saying “it is accessible, available and affordable”.
Commenting on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)/Empowerment Projects of Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese, the Head of External Relations, Pastor Joseph Alabi, stated that “the company within the last 8 years has expended on the development of its host communities N3,825,477,102 on repairs.
“Others are construction of 10 roads; N115,442,994 on construction of 40 numbers of classrooms; N25,839,117 on construction/repair of 3 heathcare facilities; N50,447,500 on provision of 22 boreholes; N14,503,312 on provision of 3 transformers and N71,177,317 on provision of other infrastructural projects.”
Alabi, however, corroborated Dr. Quadri’s submission that Acutherapy is natural as “man was created as herbivore; to feed on herbs”.
Presenting the trainees, on behalf of Dangote Cement Plc to Kenny Health & Co., Pastor Alabi advised the shortlisted candidates to be of good behaviour so as to make the community proud.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, appreciated Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese-Yewa for its continuous CSR to host communities.
The Paramount Ruler who was ably represented by the Seriki of Ilu-Ata, Ilaro, Chief Ebenezer Babatunde, said, “Dangote remains the leading and responsible company in Yewaland.
“Also, I congratulates the beneficiaries of the laudable programme for the new opportunity and empowerment”.
Earlier, the duo of Awujako of Ijako, Oba Kayode Kusoro, and Aboro of Iboro, Oba Daniel Salako lauded Dangote for the goodwill towardsthe host communities.
Oba Salako however pleaded with Dangote to consider giving more support to human development such that Dangote Academy presently situated at Obajana, saying that institution couldalso be sighted in Yewaland.
Aboro also suggested Yewa College, Ilaro or any other feasible location in the community for the Academy.
“Our children are more into teaching profession, and it’s high time we changed the trend. I hereby plead with Dangote to train our youths in engineering related courses for rapid development of our land”, Oba Salako stated.
Speaking in the same vein, the Commissioner of Sports, Hon. Dare Kehinde, commended the efforts of Dangote in its CSR to his host commune, while he also called for the establishment of Dangote Academy in Yewaland, adding that, “it is only through human development on relevant engineering courses that the community can be truly developed”.
The Head, HAM/Admin, Dangote Cement charged the trainees to be active and give rapt attention during their training “so that the primary aim of the empowerment will be achieved.”
Appreciating the donor – Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese-Yewa – a representative of the newly admitted trainees, Ms. Olufunke Ajayi, who spoke on behalf of all the beneficiaries, thanked the Dangote Cement Plc and the resource persons for their selfless services to the land and promised to sustain and apply the training to the benefit of the various communities.
The moderator of the event, Ms. Lovelyn Ekuma, applauded Dangote Plc who was ably represented by the Plant Director, Mr Azad Nawabudin, accompanied by the CSO, Risk Management Director, the Head HAM/Admin, Mr Francis Awowole (Corporate Communications), implored the trainees to remain focus so as to be able to gain maximally such that they “wouldn’t kill the golden egg”.
