Alhaja Asabi Adesina Calls For Stiffer Measure Against Rape, Greets Muslims

ABEOKUTA – The Yeye Meso of Ilaro-Yewaland, Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Asabi Temitope Adesina has congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir festival.

The wife of Chief Adewale Adesina, fondly called Mr. Wale Saranda in a telephone chat with StarTrend Int’l however used the occasion to appeal to government to take drastic steps against the rampant rape incidents across the country.

Alhaja Adesina was of the opinion that aside from the stigma on the victims of rape, the sycological effects of the abuse is better imagine, saying government should quickly descouage the bastardly act in the society.

Her words, “The recent rape cases and killings of the victims is very disturbing, annoying and aching. It’s very sad development and anbsurd that someone will be mad to forcefully have sex with the weak and even killed her after”

Alhaja Adesina however advised parents to always monitor their children from watching ponographic movies and wearing dresses that exposes their body, adding this attitude could also lead to unnecessary sexual harassment.
