IKENNE LG Boss Supports Registration Of Vulnerable

IKENNE-REMO: The Chairman, Transition Committee of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Rotimi Akinsanya, has assured National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office, (NSSCO), of his administration readiness, to give total support to the Organization, on the registration of the poor and vulnerable, in the LG area.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Adenusi Oyebola, Information Officer, Ikenne LG., Hon. Akinsanya gave the assurance, while welcoming the Acting Head Of Social Register Operation of NSSCO, Mr. Dikao Bala, to his office, on a courtesy/sensitization visit to the LG.

The Chairman, further explained that resources and data gathering, on issues of human endeavours, were very vital for effective planning, in the overall National interests.

Earlier, the representative of National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office, NSSCO,. Mr. Dikao Bala, in his address, disclosed that the programme was established by the Federal Government, with the support of the World Bank, in order to have an upgraded social register of the poor and the vulnerable, in each community of the Local Government Area.

He added that the upgraded register would help both governmental and non-governmental Organizations, in their various intervention programmes.

The Head Of Local Government Administration, (HOLGA), Alhaji Abass Muhammed, in his vote of thanks, assured Mr. Bala of the dedications and capabilities of all the local Government staff, saddled with information gathering, and their abilities to carry out the assignment conscientiously.
