LAGOS, NIGERIA – Princess Iyabo Soji-Okusanya, Executive Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Access Bank Plc, has been named a recipient of the prestigious 2025 Omo-Atata Award.
The honour will be officially conferred during the EACDA Awards Night, scheduled for June 20, 2025.
A distinguished Nigerian banker and corporate leader, Princess Iyabo began her career with Access Bank in June 1998. With over 27 years of service, she has played a pivotal role in the institution’s growth and transformation.
Renowned for her strategic mindset and outstanding relationship management abilities, Princess Iyabo exemplified professional excellence.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Ilorin and became a Chartered Accountant in 1990. By 1994, she had also qualified as a Chartered Banker.
Her dedication to professional development is reflected in her fellowships with both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB).
A lifelong learner, Princess Iyabo has completed executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School (USA), the Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, and INSEAD in France.
Beyond her professional achievements, Princess Iyabo is a woman deeply grounded in faith, compassion, and service.
Married to Adesoji Okusanya since 1994, their union is blessed with children, and she extends maternal care far beyond her biological family.
Princess Iyabo’s philanthropic work, particularly in supporting widows and orphans, highlighted her unwavering commitment to community development.
