Oba Olugbenle, Ogun Deputy Speaker, Yewa South LG Boss Commission Amazon Apartments, Applaud Community-Driven Investment

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, alongside the Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Lateefat Bolanle Ajayi, and the Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Barr. Abraham Ogunsola, on Monday, June 3, 2025, commissioned Amazon Apartments, a newly constructed, massive serviced apartment complex in Ilaro-Yewa.

The edifice was built by Mr. Jerry Oluranti, CEO of Complete Care Support Services, USA.

Oba Olugbenle lauded Mr. Oluranti for choosing Ilaro-Yewa as the location for such a remarkable project, describing it as a gesture inspired by love for the community rather than the pursuit of profit.

He expressed optimism that more transformational and legacy projects would soon rise across Yewaland, driven by community-minded investors.

The revered monarch urged the staff and management of Amazon Apartments to be diligent, professional, and committed, noting that such dedication would guarantee the project’s success and profitability in no time.

As Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, Oba Olugbenle also commended Mr. Oluranti and his family for their contributions to the town’s development.

He announced the conferment of a chieftaincy title on the developer, to be formally awarded at a later date, in recognition of his commitment to the progress of Ilaro-Yewa.

In her remarks, Rt. Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi praised Mr. Oluranti for making such a bold investment during challenging economic times, emphasizing that the project is a clear indication of his large-heartedness and desire to support government efforts in reducing unemployment.

She cautioned employees of Amazon Apartments to be sincere, loyal, and honest, warning against stealing or corner-cutting at their workplace.

“It will be sad to now see some people see their employment as a cash cow,” she remarked, stressing the importance of integrity in employment.

Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, Executive Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, who attended with his team including the Vice Chairman, Acting Leader of the Legislative Council, Secretary to the Local Government, HOLGA, Supervisors, and Advisers, also commended Mr. Oluranti’s initiative.

He highlighted the economic value of the Amazon Apartments, stating that it would create jobs, offer high-quality accommodation for visitors, and enhance business prospects in the area.

He called on other diasporans to emulate Mr. Oluranti by investing back home, assuring them of a conducive business environment in the local government.

Oba Olugbenle was joined by several other royal fathers, including Oba Lukman Olalekan Kuoye, the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa; Oba Buhari Ololade Makinde, the Oniwoye of Iwoye-Yewa; Oba (Engr) Oyebanji Adetunji Olowobese, Oloja of Oja-Odan Yewa; and chieftancy title holders from the Olu-Ilaro-in-Council.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Aremo of Yewaland, who was represented by Prince Ekunola Gbenga Abraham; Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly; Barr. Abraham Ogunsola, Chairman, Yewa South Local Government, who led a delegation from the local government to honour the occasion.
