EWEKORO, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – At the recent end-of-year and Horta Day celebration organized by the Ewekoro Local Government chapter of the Yewa Youth Association, participants were urged to be proud ambassadors of Yewaland. Comrade Isikalu Olanrewaju Alamu, President of Ijoun Progressive Youth Forum (IPYF) and Deputy National President of Yewa Youth Association, emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among members.
He encouraged them to promote Yewaland’s heritage, engage in community development efforts, and ensure that their children connect with their homeland during annual festivals and other cultural events.
Comrade Alamu, representing the national executive of the Yewa Youth Association (YYA) at the celebration held at Sharp Corner, Itori, Ewekoro, on November 10, 2024, expressed gratitude to the Ewekoro chapter for its dedication to Yewaland’s values and interests. He acknowledged their role in fostering pride and progress within Ewekoro Local Government and praised their community-building initiatives.
The event brought together notable figures from Ewekoro Local Government, including Chief Akanji Sise Isiah, Baale of Yewa in Ewekoro LGA; Comrade Fayomi Sunday, President of Ewekoro Yewa Youth Association; as well as other executive members and representatives from various chapters of the Yewa Youth Association.
The gathering celebrated Yewaland’s shared heritage and the collective commitment to the region’s development.
