LAGOS, NIGERIA – Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Bode George has lambasted President Bola Tinubu over Nigeria’s deteriorating economic conditions.

Despite governmental assurances aimed at alleviating the impact of harsh economic realities, George argued that Nigerians are yet to experience relief.

Addressing the economy during a recent appearance on Channels Television, George asserted that Tinubu’s policies, including fuel subsidy removal and currency flotation, have affected all strata of society, from the wealthiest to the most impoverished.

He expressed skepticism that these measures will yield positive results anytime soon, suggesting they might take centuries to bear fruit.

George also criticized Tinubu for appointing leaders of major banks, whom he accused of economic mismanagement, to oversee or advise on the economy.

He urged Tinubu to hold these figures accountable rather than entrust them with the country’s economic management.

Emphasizing that Tinubu’s one-year grace period to assess the country’s situation is over, George stressed that Nigerians now demand tangible results from the administration.
