…As Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo Extends Gratitude To God, Staff, Clients

ABEOKUTA – The former Ogun State Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe has described Otunba Wasiu Jaiyeola Taiwo as a harbinger of good idea that uplifts the socio-economy of Ogun State through the establishment of Continnental Suite.
Mrs. Longe stated this during her speech at the Gala Night held to commemorate the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Continental Suites in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, saying Otunba Taiwo has raised the bar of hospitality business in Ogun State.
She noted that since the establishment of Continental Suites in Abeokuta, twenty years ago, the hospitality business has improved considerably in Ogun State.
Longe commended Otunba Taiwo and the management staff of Continental Suites for the development of socio-economy of Ogun State.
In his address at the event, the Chairman of Wessy Group of Companies, Otunba Wasiu Taiwo expressed his gratitude to God for His mercies over him, his family and businesses.
His words, “I give complete submission to the will of the Almighty God; that is the soul and validation of Continnental Suite.
“Our belief is in God, and that’s why we’re still there and relivant in the scheme of things. Today in Nigeria, when you talk about private owned hotels, since 20 years ago, we are still there leading others. To God be the glory.”
In her speech at the event, the Managing Director of Continental Suites, Pastor (Mrs.) Bolanle Taiwo, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, along with her husband and the entire staff of the esteemed hospitality hub, to God and all those who have contributed to the remarkable success story of the hotel.
Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo conveyed her joy and pleasure as she warmly welcomed each and every guest to the exhilarating event, celebrating the hotel’s outstanding 20 years of “Unparalleled Standards.”
She acknowledged the challenges encountered throughout the journey that began on May 23, 2003, due to the unfavorable business environment, saying, “with the divine grace of the Almighty God, Continental Suites has emerged as a renowned Hospitality Concern celebrated for its unmatched standards in Ogun State.”
Recognizing the importance of giving honour where it is due, Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo expressed her deepest appreciation for the visionary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering efforts of her beloved husband, Otunba Wasiu Jayeola Taiwo, the Chairman of Wessy Group of Companies.
She credited his resolute determination and the strong foundation he laid for the sustainability of the WESSY LEGACY.
Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo called for a thunderous round of applause in acknowledgment of the esteemed presence of the Chairman and Founder of Continental Suites, Otunba Wasiu Jayeola Taiwo, wishing him blessings of long life and good health to continue enjoying the fruits of his labour.
Grateful for the honour of the esteemed guests’ presence on this momentous occasion, Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo extended her heartfelt gratitude and prayed for their safe travels to their respective destinations.
As she concluded her address, Pastor (Mrs.) Taiwo expressed her deep appreciation for certain individuals present at the gathering that have believed in Continental Suites, cherished the establishment, and continuously supported its endeavors. She held them in high regard and assured them that their support is not taken for granted.
She offered her profound gratitude and invoked a prayer that the Almighty God, in response to their unwavering support, would provide assistance whenever they are in need, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Once again, she expressed her gratitude to the esteemed guests for their invaluable support, addressing them as esteemed sirs and madams.
It would be recalled that Otunba Wasiu Taiwo assembled creame of the society to celebrate God’s grace on his business; 20years in the hospitality business, and to mark the milestone.
Wessy Creations as he’s been called is a trained fashion designer who had sewed trendy fashion styles to people of high standard in the society.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Wale Adeniyi, the General Manager of the hotel, expressed his gratitude to God for the Chairman, management staff, and the entire team at Continental Suite, acknowledging the mercy they have received over the years.
He also extended his appreciation to the customers who have played a pivotal role in elevating the hospitality business to new heights. Mr. Adeniyi emphasized that Continental Suite is committed to providing the best service possible to its valued customers.
Furthermore, he assured customers that the hotel will consistently deliver exceptional service at reasonable prices.
Also in his brief address at the event, Prof. Tope Popoola, the Chairman of the Board of Continental Suites, expressed gratitude to God for the grace that has enabled the hotel to uphold its unparalleled standard since its inception 20 years ago.
Popoola praised the visionary leadership of Chairman Otunba Wasiu Taiwo and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Bolanle Taiwo, whose business acumen played a significant role in maintaining the hotel’s high standards despite the challenging economic climate in the country.
He further commended the dedicated staff members and expressed his gratitude to the customers, recognizing them as instrumental in the hotel’s remarkable journey thus far, attributing their contributions as divine interventions orchestrated by God.
The convergence no doubt demonstrated the best way to appreciate customers, family, friends who stood by him since the establishment of Continental Suite, located at IBB Boulivered, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
To mark the two decades of the Continental Suite, Otunba Taiwo gave out incentives to regular clients who have been patronizing.
The hotel also gifted a staff – Mrs. Temidayo Lawal an award and a scholarship for her child. She also received cash gifts from guests for her persivearance and dedication to the establishment.
In her response, Temidayo Lawal who started with the outfit since its inception said she has passion for doing what she likes doing; hence her devotion to her work, not minding any material gains.
