2027: Ogun APC Stakeholders Endorse Amusan’s Governorship Candidacy, Highlight His Developmental Achievements

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State have rallied behind Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan (JKA) for the party’s governorship ticket in 2027.

The former House of Representatives member is celebrated for his transformational leadership and “Midas touch,” which stakeholders believe could propel Ogun State to greater heights.

Speaking in Abeokuta, Mr. Adedoyin Kazeem, a prominent APC stalwart and Coordinator of the JKA Concerned Volunteers Group, lauded Amusan’s eight-year tenure in the House of Representatives.

According to Kazeem, Amusan’s leadership brought significant progress to Abeokuta and its surrounding areas, particularly in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

During his tenure, Amusan represented Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda LGAs in the House of Representatives. Kazeem noted that Amusan’s impactful projects reshaped these communities, transforming them into hubs for investment and development.

Kazeem emphasized the growing clamour from various groups across the state for Amusan’s candidacy. “People believe he has the capacity to govern Ogun and continue the positive changes he initiated during his time in Abuja,” Kazeem said.

Amusan’s time in the Lower Chamber saw him implement transformative initiatives that boosted infrastructure development. “He revamped three local government areas, making them attractive to both local and international investors,” Kazeem explained.

Kazeem credited Amusan with bridging the gap between urban and rural areas. “He modernized roads, installed streetlights, and created markets in suburban areas, effectively curbing migration from rural to urban areas,” Kazeem added.

Amusan’s contributions to education and healthcare extended to the grassroots. He introduced free education programs, upgraded schools, and provided opportunities for underprivileged children. His vision for a science-driven educational system remains a benchmark for future progress”, he posited.

Kazeem emphasized the need to support Amusan’s candidacy, stating that his achievements as a lawmaker demonstrated his capability to lead Ogun State to a prosperous future.
