2023 UNESCO WORLD RADIO DAY: – FIBAN HONORS OLOYE LEKAN ALABI’S 50TH YEAR IN MEDIA INDUSTRY FEB. 13

Snr. Chief ‘Lekan Alabi, the Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland

IBADAN – The UNESCO World Radio Day celebration is taking place on February 13, 2023, at the Ibadan Civic Center, Idi Ape, Ibadan. The event holds between 10 am & 5 pm.

The event will feature a Guest Lecture from Professor Remi Raji-Oyelade – The orator from the University of Ibadan.

The expected Special Guests of Honor include the Executive Governors of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States.

Other guests include Chairman of the event – His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Osoba, former Governor of Ogun State, the Royal Guest of Honour are the Imperial Majesties, the Ooni of Ife, the Ataoja of Osogbo, and the host, His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

One of the special highlights of the occasion is the commendation and special tributes in honor of Oloye Lekan Alabi, the Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland and First Culture Ambassador of the National Museum, Ile Ife, on his 50th anniversary as a journalist/broadcaster.

The event will also feature a fundraising drive for the proposed Oloye Lekan Alabi Media Resource Center.
